Today is Roxanne's third birthday.
It is hard to believe that my walking, talking, singing, crying, tantruming, painting, playing toddler was a four and a half pound newborn who truly looked (and acted) as if she would rather go back in the womb pronto.
(March 17, 2004. Note the St. Patrick's Day green ribbon on her little hat.)
As I always tell people, it is amazing what some love, some sleep and a lot of breast milk can do for a person.
(Opening presents right before her first birthday, March 2005.)
At some point in time I went from being "the person who isn't mommy" to "daddy," the best title that I have ever held, although I am still no "Real Daddy."
(March 2006. Note necktie, lunch bag and "Real Daddy" in her hand.)
I wish you many, many more years of growing, learning and happiness.
("No, no! I will not look at the camera! No!" March 15, 2007.)
With much love, Real Real Daddy
Happy birthday Roxanne - I love you!
